More calls for Med-use

I heard on the radio news this morning that the NZ Drug foundation have added their voice, to the increasing number of kiwis calling for Medicinal cannabis law reform. The spokesman said that Aotearoa/NZ is really lagging behind many OECD/western countries, that now allow wide use of cannabis for medicinal purposes. He also said that many other countries have a broad number of cannabinoid drugs (CBD oil, extracts & raw herb).. but NZ has only one approved drug (sativex) that requires ministerial approval & is not funded by the Govt. funding agency (Pharmac). Sativex is available only after 3 levels of approval & costs each patient over $1000/month.
This is totally RIDICULOUS. It is cheaper & often easier to obtain illegal cannabis from the Black-market. The Govt. still refuse to allow cannabis to be grown or researched in NZ (legally) for any medicinal/therapeutic uses. Again evidence that ‘more powerful’ entities are probably ‘pulling the strings’ of the minister/Govt. ! 😦
